How to Read Phone Display Part Numbers

Why the code matters more than the phone name

"Galaxy A15" describes at least two devices (SM-A155 for 4G, SM-A156 for 5G) and several colours; a manufacturer part number describes exactly one assembly. Every listing in the Rixos catalogue is keyed on that number, so learning to read it prevents wrong deliveries.

Samsung: GH82, GH96, GH97, GH81 and GH59

A Samsung mobile part number has the shape GHxx-nnnnnX: a two-digit family after GH, a five-digit sequence and a suffix letter. The main families in the catalogue are:

  • GH82 is used for almost all current display assemblies, with and without frame: GH82-33396C/33386C (Galaxy S24 Ultra, Titanium Yellow, with frame) and GH82-33385A/33402A (same phone, no Frame). GH82 also covers middle frames (GH82-33399C) and back covers (GH82-22112E, Galaxy A71), so the prefix alone does not mean "screen".
  • GH96 is most often a charging board or a no-frame display. The no-frame listings run across S, Note and some A models: GH96-13942A/13942B / GH81-24719B (Galaxy S21 5G, no Frame), GH96-10682A (Galaxy S8, no Frame), GH96-11033A (Galaxy Note8, no Frame) and GH96-15168A/15224A (Galaxy A53 5G, no Frame). GH96-16497A is the S24 Ultra charging board (SERVICE).
  • GH97 is the display prefix of the 2014 to 2019 generations: Galaxy S6 to S9, Note 4 to Note 9, the A3/A5/A7 of those years and the J series. Examples: GH97-17260A (Galaxy S6, Black), GH97-16565B (Galaxy Note4, Black), GH97-21065A/21066A (Galaxy Note8, Black), GH97-19732A/19753A (Galaxy A3 2017, Black). It is also the prefix of the outer (cover) screens of the Z Flip series: GH97-26773A (Z Flip3, Black Outer), GH97-29135A (Z Flip5, Black Outer), GH97-30012A (Z Flip6, Silver Outer).
  • GH81 covers entry-level A0x and M models, e.g. GH81-20181A (Galaxy A02s, Black Eu Code (with Frame)) and GH81-18209A (Galaxy A01, small Connector).
  • GH59 appears on main flex cables and charging boards, e.g. GH59-15556A Charging Board SM-A536 (A53 5G) (SERVICE), and on a few older displays such as the Xcover GH59-11438A.

Suffix letters: colour by order, not by name

The final letter counts the colour variants in the order Samsung released them; it does not map to a fixed colour across models. Galaxy A26 5G (SM-A266): GH82-37049A Black, B White, C Lime Green, D Peach Pink. Galaxy S10e (SM-G970): GH82-18852A/18836A Prism Black up to GH82-18852G/18836G Canary Yellow, so a suffix E is simply the fifth colour (GH82-18852E/18836E, Prism Green). On the S24 Ultra one letter covers several phone colours: GH82-33396A/33386A is Titanium Gray/Orange/Violet, B Titanium Black/Blue/Green, C Titanium Yellow. The suffix carries through to the tiered listings: the Galaxy S25 runs from GH82-36329A (ASMBLD) in Silver Shadow / Light Gray to GH82-36329G (ASMBLD) in Coral Red. No-frame assemblies usually carry a single A suffix because the coloured frame is not included (GH82-36327A, Galaxy S25, no Frame).

Eu Code and Non Eu Code

Region-specific displays are different numbers, not different suffixes. The catalogue flags them in the colour field: GH82-20227A/20322A is the Galaxy A10 listed as Black Eu Code (with Frame) and GH82-19367A/19515A M as Black Non Eu Code (with Frame); GH97-20904A/20946A E is the Galaxy J7 Core in Black Eu. On the Galaxy A02s the split follows the model code: GH81-20181A is listed for SM-A025G/M025 (Eu Code) and GH81-20118A/18456A for SM-A025F/E025F (Non Eu Code). Check the model code under Settings before ordering, and quote the listing string in full, including any trailing letter, so that we match the right one.

Dual codes with a slash

GH82-33396C/33386C is one product carrying two Samsung numbers. The manufacturer issues more than one number for what is functionally the same assembly and the box may show either, so current listings join them with a slash. A few listings still use the older OR form, e.g. GH81-29805A OR GH81-29806A (Galaxy A04s, With Frame, Black) or GH97-20904A OR GH97-20946A (Galaxy J7 Nxt, Black); it means the same thing. Three numbers appear when one assembly serves two devices: GH82-33637A/33638A/33831A fits both the SM-A155 and the SM-A156 Galaxy A15. A "+ BTRY" note, as in GH82-25229A/25230A (Galaxy A52 4G/5G, Black, LCD + BTRY) or GH82-24708A/24709A (Galaxy A12, With Frame, LCD + BTRY), means the service pack includes the battery; where no such note appears, do not assume a battery is in the box.

Model code versus marketing name

SM-S928 is the Galaxy S24 Ultra, SM-S938 the S25 Ultra, SM-A266 the A26 5G. Our listings show both, but the SM code decides. Letters after the digits (SM-A025F, SM-A025G) mark regional variants and, as the A02s shows, can mean a different screen. The same model code can even hide two incompatible screens: the Galaxy A01 SM-A015 exists with a small connector (GH81-18209A) and a big connector (GH81-18597A). Photograph the flex connector of the original when in doubt.

Huawei: 0235 codes

Huawei service parts use an eight-character code beginning 0235 followed by four letters or digits: 02353QJJ is the Honor 9X Lite in Black, 02353QJT the same phone in Green. There is no colour suffix: each colour is a separate code, and so is each hardware variant. The P30 Lite alone has 02352PJN (24 MP main camera, 2019, White), 02352RQC (48 MP main camera, 2019, White) and 02353FQB (P30 Lite New Edition, 2020, Pearl White) as three separate listings. Our titles show the marketing name, the year and the camera variant where it matters. Huawei's own model code (ANE-L21 for the P20 Lite, MAR-LX1A or MAR-L21A for the P30 Lite) is what you should send us together with the colour so that we match the right code. A battery is included only where the title says + Battery.

Xiaomi: 5600 codes

Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco displays carry a number beginning 5600 that runs to 12 or 13 characters; both lengths are current and both appear throughout the catalogue. The block at the end identifies the model and the digits directly after 5600 change with the colour: 56000400N300 (Xiaomi 14, Black), 56000500N300 (White), 56000600N300 (Green); 5600030N12A00 (Xiaomi 14T, Black) and 5600050N12A00 (Blue). Shared panels are listed once under both names: 560003N16P00 covers the Poco X6 5G and the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G in Black. A separate 5610 series exists for some Mi 8 and Mi 9 era displays, e.g. 561010016033 (Mi 9, Blue), and reissues appear with OR: 560000600J200 OR 56000K00J200 (Mi 10, Green). Send us the Xiaomi model code from the device (M2002J9G for the Mi 10 Lite 5G, for example) together with the colour and we will match it to the listing.

Apple: SCREEN designations

Apple does not publish display part numbers, so the catalogue uses a descriptive designation plus an internal reference. SCREEN-15G PRO MAX (2023) BLACK - SERVICE (With IC) is reference A-188; the same screen Without IC is A-077. "15G" means the iPhone 15 generation, "16E / 17E" the iPhone 16e and 17e. After the colour comes the tier (SERVICE, SOFT OLED, HARD OLED, TFT / INCELL) and, for aftermarket panels, a two-letter panel-maker tag such as DD, JK, RJ, ZY or GX. "With IC" means the display IC is fitted; "Without IC" is for workshops that transplant the IC from the customer's original panel. Quote the full name and the A-number together.

Google, Motorola, Oppo, Realme, OnePlus

Google Pixel displays use G949-nnnnn-nn, e.g. G949-01070-00 (Pixel 9 Pro). Motorola uses 5D68C plus five digits: 5D68C21538/5D68C21190 (Edge 30 Fusion, Neptune Blue). Oppo and Realme share a seven-digit system, and one number often serves several models: 4908719/4907425/4906421 covers the OPPO A94 5G, A95 5G, Reno 5Z and F19 Pro+ 5G. OnePlus listings may show a ten-digit OnePlus number beside an Oppo-style number: 2011100414/4130326 (OnePlus 10T / Ace Pro).

What to send us

Send the manufacturer number as printed on the original part or box, the device model code, the colour and the tier you need. If you only have the marketing name, add a photo of the flex label and our team will confirm the matching code.
