Why one phone model has five different screens in the catalogue
Search the Rixos catalogue for the Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928) and you will find the same Samsung number in several forms: GH82-33396C/33386C, GH82-33396C/33386C (ASMBLD) and GH82-33396C/33386C (RNW). The bracketed suffix is the quality tier: it tells you what kind of unit sits behind the code. Matching the tier to the repair job matters as much as matching the code itself.
Original Service Pack
A service pack is the manufacturer's own factory-sealed replacement module, supplied through the manufacturer's service channel. For Samsung the panel, digitizer and (on with-frame versions) the chassis were bonded at the factory, the box label shows the GH number and the protective film is in place. In our catalogue a display service pack is the plain code with no tier suffix: GH82-37049A (Galaxy A26 5G, Black) or 02353QJJ (Honor 9X Lite, Black). Small parts and iPhone screens carry the word SERVICE instead: GH96-16497A Charging Board SM-S928 (S24 Ultra 5G) (SERVICE), G949-01087-00 Charging Board GP-Pixel 9 Pro 5G (SERVICE), or SCREEN-15G PRO MAX (2023) BLACK - SERVICE (With IC) under reference A-188.
How to recognise it: sealed manufacturer box, box label matching the label on the flex, factory-even bezels and no adhesive residue at the edges. Use it for warranty and insurance work and wherever your shop guarantees an original screen.
Assembled (ASMBLD)
Assembled, in our listings, means an original display module that has been assembled into the frame (chassis) rather than supplied as a factory-sealed service pack. Examples: GH82-36329A (ASMBLD) for the Galaxy S25 in Silver Shadow / Light Gray, or GH82-28024A/28025A (ASMBLD) for the Galaxy A53 5G in Black. The listing carries the (ASMBLD) suffix after the Samsung number and its condition field reads Assembled.
Picture quality and touch behaviour are those of an original panel; what you do not get is the factory-sealed service packaging. If your customer or insurer requires that sealed box, order the plain code instead. Ask sales for the exact specification of a given lot before you commit a quantity.
Renewed (RNW)
Renewed means an original screen that has been professionally refurbished. It is listed with the (RNW) suffix, e.g. GH82-28024C/28025C (RNW) for the Galaxy A53 5G in Blue, or under an internal S-number with the condition Renewed, e.g. S-1365 (Galaxy A26 5G, Black). It is not a sealed service pack.
How to check it: under angled light look for marks on the glass, dust under the glass or an uneven edge, and test touch across the whole glass before fitting. A good fit for refurbishment lines and trade-in stock, where original colour and brightness matter more than packaging.
Aftermarket OLED: soft and hard
These OLED panels are produced by third-party panel makers rather than by the phone's manufacturer. For Samsung models the catalogue marks them with (OLED), such as GH82-36387D (OLED) for the Galaxy S25 Ultra in Black Jet. For iPhone the tier is part of the product name, with a two-letter panel-maker tag: A-335 SCREEN-15G PRO MAX (2023) BLACK - SOFT OLED - DD (With IC), or A-280 SCREEN-16E / 17E (2025) BLACK HARD OLED - ZY.
- Soft OLED is built on a flexible polyimide substrate like the original. It is thin, sits in the frame like the factory panel and tolerates the slight flex of the chassis.
- Hard OLED is built on a rigid glass substrate. It is thicker, shows a larger bottom bezel because the driver cannot be folded under the panel, and cracks rather than flexes under stress.
How to recognise them: a hard OLED has a visibly larger bottom bezel (the chin) and a thicker, rigid panel body; a soft OLED is thin and the panel itself gives slightly at the edge when handled. Lay the unit next to an original of the same model and compare thickness and chin height. Do not test by bending the flex ribbon: it is flexible on both types and tells you nothing. Soft OLED suits everyday out-of-warranty repairs where the customer wants OLED blacks without an original panel. Hard OLED is the entry tier among OLED replacements and is acceptable where a taller chin does not matter.
Incell and TFT
Incell and TFT panels are aftermarket LCDs made to replace an OLED screen. An in-cell panel integrates the touch sensor inside the LCD cell; TFT is the general LCD type. In the catalogue they appear mainly for recent iPhones, for example A-316 SCREEN-17G (2025) BLACK TFT / INCELL - JK. Because they are backlit LCDs they draw more power, show grey rather than black in a dark room, and are thicker than the OLED they replace.
How to recognise them: edge backlight glow on a black screen and a visible step in thickness. Use them for loan phones, entry-level repairs where the customer knows the screen is not OLED, and low-value devices.
CHN ORG and A GRADE
CHN ORG marks an original panel or part supplied through the China market channel rather than through the manufacturer's service channel. It usually exists next to the service-pack version of the same code: G949-01070-00 and G949-01070-00 (CHN ORG) are both listed for the Pixel 9 Pro display, and SP-082 Charging Board SM-S928 (S24 Ultra 5G) (CHN ORG) sits beside GH96-16497A Charging Board SM-S928 (S24 Ultra 5G) (SERVICE). The part is original; what differs is the channel it comes through, so it is not a sealed service pack.
A GRADE marks a used original screen that has been inspected and graded; it is not a new part. Examples: G949-00219-01 ( A GRADE ) for the Pixel 6 Pro, or the Huawei P30 displays listed as ( A Grade Direct from Huawei ), such as 02354HMG in Black. Ask sales for the grading criteria applied to a specific lot.
RPLCD on Z Flip outer displays
Two outer (cover) displays carry the (RPLCD) suffix: GH97-29135A (RPLCD) for the Galaxy Z Flip5 and GH97-30012E (RPLCD) for the Z Flip6. RPLCD marks an original screen whose front glass has been replaced; the listing titles describe them as Replaced Glass. The plain code GH97-29135A (Black Outer) is listed separately as the service pack. Treat RPLCD as a tier of its own: an original panel with new front glass, not a sealed service pack.

Choosing the tier for the job
Ask three questions. Does the customer or insurer require a sealed original part? Does the device have a curved or very bright OLED that a replacement panel cannot imitate convincingly? Will the phone be resold with a quality claim attached? If any answer is yes, stay with the service pack or an Assembled original panel. Otherwise a Renewed or soft OLED unit is usually right, with Incell/TFT for the cases above. Our team can confirm which tiers are stocked for a given model: send the model code and colour and we will reply with the options.
